While part of our crew worked on tearing off and installing shingles, the other part worked on the flat section. First, they tore off the existing roofing system, exposing the deck. Then, they measured and cut two holes in the roof where the skylights would be set, ensuring the area was kept clear to reduce mess. After creating and installing the boxes that the skylights sit atop, they finished this installation by adding a new TPO membrane. Now, the skylights blend effortlessly into the roof and are properly sealed so that leaking around the new penetration won’t be a problem. Our Solution

One of the significant benefits of this project was that the homeowner’s insurance covered all the costs due to serious hail damage. Full Roof Repair and TPO Re-Roof | Albuquerque

From gutters to new roofs, Goodrich Roofing does it all! This project called for a wide range of services from our roofing specialists. The homeowner was looking to fortify an aging roof. With a combination of repairs and replacement, we worked hard to bring this roof back to tip-top shape.

Task at Hand

This roof featured four different flat roof sections and another pitched roof section featuring tile. Two sections of the flat roof had no large issues, the other two showed signs of aging indicating that a re-roof would be the optimal solution to avoid the necessity of constant maintenance. Our team had to ensure that the new TPO system would integrate seamlessly with the existing tile. Additionally, the home was tucked away off the street making access difficult. Our production management team had to problem solve this situation.

Our Solution

To deal with the issue of access, our team used our Equipter drivable dump trailer. This trailer is smaller than the large one that we normally use and can be driven into smaller areas, then raised. It can then be driven to and emptied in the large trailer. This makes debris removal simple even without lots of space to work with. Once tear-off was complete, we created a taper with insulation as the base for the TPO to ensure proper drainage. We mechanically attached the TPO membrane and ensured that details were all taken care of.

Our customer decided that they would also like to add gutter screens to prevent gutter buildup. We added screens to gutters and scuppers. This small addition makes a big difference, making gutter maintenance simple. We finished with small repairs on the tile and tar and gravel sections. Now, the TPO system gives the homeowner ease of mind and excellent protection from the elements.

For the TPO roofing section, we used rigid poyiso foam insulation to serve as a solid and energy efficient base of the TPO membrane. For the TPO membrane, we used MuleHide Standard TPO in white, a sturdy and reliable option. Then, to seal the tile and tar and gravel sections, we used Gaco Patch silicone roof patch, our favorite long term roofing repair solution.

Metal Roofing Upgrade | Albuquerque

This home previously featured a shingle roof done by Goodrich 30 years ago! Although there were no immediate issues and it was still secure, our valued customer figured that it was time for a refresh. For maximum durability and lifespan, they decided that a metal roof would be ideal. Our team specializes in metal roofing installation, and we were able to give this home a new look with a roof made to last decades.

Task at Hand

When a customer whose roof we did 30 years ago came to us, we were pleased that the previous roofing system we installed exceeded its lifespan expectation. Although there were no pressing issues, they were right to come to us for an estimate before any problems popped up. Their goal was simple: a sturdy roof that would last them as long as possible. The experts at Goodrich Roofing knew exactly how to deliver.

Our Solution

Metal roofing systems are known for their extreme durability (lasting up to 70 years!) and low maintenance. Additionally, they provide stunning weather resistance and have a Class A fire rating. Our team worked to neatly tear off the existing shingle roofing system, leaving just the deck which upon inspection required a few replacements to adhere to building standards. We replaced the ventilation turbines and skylight. Then, we placed our strong ice and water shield which acts as the secondary water barrier for the system. Finally, we installed the R-Panel metal roof before painting all the roof features to match. The result, a stunning look built to withstand the elements for a very long time.

Materials

We work with our friends at Metal Center for metal roofs. They supplied the 26 Guage R-Panel metal in white. Beneath the metal, Owens Corning PSU30 ice and water shield made for backing up metal roofs. We use materials that are built to last.

Tile Roof Repair and TPO Roofing Replacement | Albuquerque

This home features a multi level roof which includes sections of tile and flat sections that were all previously Tar and Gravel. Goodrich Roofing repaired the entire roof which included a TPO replacement to one of the flat sections. Now with resealed tile and a new TPO surface, this roof is ready to take on Albuquerque’s unpredictable fall and winter.

The Problem

This homeowner came to Goodrich because of leaks. It is important to quickly deal with leaking in your home because it can be an indication of a serious issue that can cause structural damage. When our inspector visited the property to see what could be causing the leaks, it was clear that years of wear and tear were catching up to the roof. Seams that had been previously sealed were wearing down, leaving the roof exposed to the elements. There was also some decay around the tile sections which exposed more vulnerabilities.

Our Solution

Our expert roofing team decided that the best course of action was to reseal the tile and most of the tar and gravel sections. One of the flat roof sections needed more than just repair. We replaced it with a brand new TPO roofing System. We added a taper and replaced scuppers to ensure proper drainage and prevent pooling. Finally, we coordinated with HVAC to detach and reset the AC unit. As we worked on the new TPO section, we resealed the tile and Tar and Gravel sections. This ensures the whole system is properly sealed and our valued customer stays worry free during the wet season.
