Goodrich Roofing is proud to have been chosen for this large-scale residential shingle roofing job! Our team worked almost two weeks to complete the full re-roof of this three unit residential property and another just like it in the hills of Los Alamos. Our team got to take in some stunning scenery as we worked hard to complete this beautiful steep-slope job! These residences can now rest assured with brand new high quality roofs as the snowy season approaches.
Task at Hand
Because these residences are within a homeowner’s association, there are certain standards that contractors must adhere to. Goodrich Roofing has extensive experience working within HOA communities and ensuring that the association is pleased with our work. It is important to ensure members of the community are aware of the work taking place. Our team communicated with homeowners and ensured that their concerns were addressed throughout the job. Additionally, there. were architectural specifications that had to be maintained to match the neighborhood appearance. For this job we worked with the HOA manager to ensure that we met these specifications and that the job was completed as required by the association.
Residential Shingle Roofing Process
This shingle installation happened in phases because of the volume of work required for the job. Although attached, each unit was treated as separate. Our team worked closely with city inspectors to ensure that we could continue through each phase of the project. We worked roof by roof ensuring that nothing would be completely exposed for too long in the event of serious weather. To begin each roof we tore off the existing shingles and underlayment. Next, we installed synthetic underlayment after cleaning the surface. We then installed shingles and added pipes and vents, coloring them to blend into the shingle color. We completed this process for six different units within the neighborhood! Now, these residential units have a fresh new-roof look.
Materials
Our team used Owens Corning Duration shingles in Driftwood for this project. For the base layer, we used Owens Corning synthetic underlayment. Additionally, we installed Owens Corning weather lock at pipes and vents for extra fortification. Goodrich Roofing is an Owens Corning platinum preferred contractor, showing our dedication to high quality materials and work.
